The Position

The individual in this role provides critical pre and post sales technical support for Axsun’s telecom and new spectroscopy products within key accounts in Optical Networking, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, and Industrial industries, and Process Spectroscopy Instrument Manufacturers.  Key responsibilities of this position include:

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post sales support to AXSUN account managers during visits to OEM accounts in assigned markets
• Conduct and assist in product and technical demonstrations to assigned customers
• Serve as a liaison between customers and Axsun’s Engineering, Sales and Marketing organizations
• Support Marketing and Sales during industry tradeshows by answering technical questions, demonstrating products and giving technical presentations
• Assist with writing white papers, as well as product application notes
• Assist customers in configuration and interface design efforts
• Maintain the quantity and quality of demonstration/loaner products
• Set up customer visits as necessary Close design wins at a targeted customer base
• Keep internal customers updated on product and market trends

Requirements

• BS (MS preferred) in Physics, EE or equivalent
• 5 plus years experience in a technical support or field applications role with process spectroscopy or Telecom components
• Experience with optics or electro-optical systems including embedded microcontrollers or Digital Signal Processors
• Software expertise: Labview, Visual Basic, C or C++ a plusTeam player with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• 30% travel
