Axsun Technologies' New Spectrometer Honored
with
2004 PITTCON® Editors' Award at Company's
PITTCON Debut
BILLERICA, MA (March 16, 2004) - Describing the product as "a breakthrough in miniaturized, yet powerful NIR spectroscopy," the PITTCON Editors awarded the Bronze prize for best new product to the Axsun NIR-APS (near-infrared application prototyping system) analyzer. PITTCON, the foremost tradeshow for analytical instruments and laboratory equipment, was held last week in Chicago, with approximately 1,200 exhibiting companies and 25,000 attendees from 80 countries participating. According to the panel of editors and journalists covering PITTCON, the judging session for this year's awards produced "one of the closest results in recent years, with little separating the winners of the Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards." Out of the hundreds of new products exhibited at the show, the editors nominated 22, out of which the final awardees were chosen.
