OMx Optical Monitors for Telecommunications
Based on Axsun Technologies' proven photonic packaging platform, OMx monitors incorporate Axsun's highly reliable MEMS tunable filter, micro-optics, and LIGA micro-alignment structures, providing laboratory instrument-class measurement capabilities in the smallest form factor ever offered.

Axsun's OMx product family provides highly accurate optical power, frequency, and signal-to-noise ratio measurement in the C or L band, and reports the data over a serial RS-232 or dual port RAM interface. The scanning architecture of the OMx is extremely flexible to address the requirements of any channel plan, with support for 25GHz channel spacing, and scaling to support more than 1000 channels.

With high spectral resolution, flexible signal processing capability and TruSpectrum feature, OMx instruments support OSNR monitoring and analysis across a wide range of modulation techniques and transmission data rates. Axsun's Truspectrum scan enhancement software makes every OMx telecommunications monitor a virtual Optical Spectrum Analyzer for enhanced OSNR measurement capability. Using advanced digital signal processing techniques, Truspectrum scan enhancement gives your customers a pure representation of the DWDM spectrum, providing improved visibility into their network's physical layer.

High speed? Now there are two new OMx monitor options for customers who require rapid scan times along with the superb spectral resolution and OSNR accuracy of the OMx family. With the OM4 and OM5 products, you can offer the high performance and reliability that customers have come to expect from the OMx monitor family, with up to 10 times the speed.
